The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the European Union, Kaja Kallas, stated that the EU is ready to meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov. Kallas added that such a meeting could take place on the condition that the sides are ready for serious and constructive talks.
During her speech, Kallas also highlighted the necessity of dialogue and cooperation on a number of issues, including climate change, the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, and general security. According to her, it is necessary to take advantage of the opportunities for constructive interaction wherever possible.
"We must remain open to dialogue and accept the challenges ahead of us. Our long-term goal as politicians is to seek ways to resolve disagreements through talks and negotiations to ensure peace and stability in the international arena," Kallas emphasized.
