Mexican Players Struggle in European Competitions

César Huerta's Anderlecht faces tough season ahead. Mexican players’ participation in European tournaments ends as teams face elimination. Hope remains for domestic leagues as they aim for next season.

Mexican Players Struggle in European Competitions

Mexican footballers have experienced adverse results in European competitions this season. César Huerta, who is part of Anderlecht, has faced a series of defeats both in the local league and in the Europa League, where they were eliminated by Fenerbahçe. In this regard, Huerta has expressed: "Silence and keep working because there is still the Cup and the League". Despite this situation, the Mexicans have concluded their participation in these tournaments and will now focus on their respective leagues to seek to compete again next season.

On the other hand, Santiago Giménez, who plays for an Italian team, is going through a difficult time with his club. Although there are still eight matches left in Serie A, Giménez would have the opportunity to turn this situation around. However, it is important to highlight that Mexican representatives in European teams have been eliminated from their respective continental tournaments.

The Champions League, the Europa League, and the Conference League are getting closer to defining their champions, offering a great spectacle to football fans this season. Santiago Giménez was the first to fall out of the competition after being eliminated in the Champions League playoffs by his former team following a transfer to AC Milan. On the other hand, Rodrigo Huescas and Heriberto Jurado also recently bid farewell to the Conference League.

In the Belgian league, César Huerta and Heriberto Jurado are going through different moments, with Huerta advancing to the final round while Jurado is in the relegation zone. Despite the difficulties, Mexican footballers remain hopeful of achieving good results in their local leagues and qualifying again for European competitions next season.
