She highlighted rising energy prices and attacks on EU and NATO member states. "Our partners are being attacked," she noted, referencing Iranian drones. "Our citizens are caught in the crossfire," she added. Von der Leyen stated that we are witnessing a regional conflict whose effects are now a reality. Oil prices have neared $120 per barrel amid the ongoing US-Iranian conflict for the second week.
