Brussels, AFP — The European Parliament approved on Thursday a tightening of immigration procedures in the continent, supporting the creation of so-called 'return centers' to send irregular migrants outside the European Union. These measures were requested by a majority of member states, as well as by deputies from the right and far-right in the European Parliament, who received the vote result with warm applause in the parliament hall.
