A group of friends, all from the Belgian town of Zingem, won the grand prize in the EuroMillions draw, amounting to 123 million euros. This prize is the eighth largest EuroMillions win for Belgians. The prize was divided among 21 people, each winning approximately 5.8 million dollars. One of the winners told France Press agency: "It's unbelievable." The coffee shop employee Reggie Tayroui said: "For those who want to know the secret to winning, it's very simple: on a Friday morning, come and buy a ticket with auto-selected numbers for 105 euros, as I recall." The record-winning amount is 168 million euros, won in October 2016.
